Cloud, DevOps & Security
Cloud cost optimization that finds the waste and keeps it from coming back.
For teams whose cloud bill keeps climbing while nobody can say which product, team or customer it belongs to. We review your spend line by line, remove idle and oversized resources, buy commitments only where usage is steady, tag everything to an owner and set budgets and alerts, then keep it that way with ongoing managed cloud.

Overview
What are cloud cost optimization services?
Cloud cost optimization services find and remove waste in your AWS, Azure or Google Cloud spend, then set up the habits and controls that stop it returning. The work covers a FinOps review, rightsizing, commitment planning, tagging, budgets and alerts. Noorscale reports savings against your own baseline, because results depend on where you start, and can manage the cloud for you afterwards.
See it in action
What does a cloud cost optimization engagement look like when it's working?
When a cloud cost optimization engagement is working, you see four changes: waste removed on your sign-off, spend every team can see, early warning on spikes and savings that last. The live sample below is built with illustrative data. Your version runs on your own accounts and your numbers.

Sound familiar?
What problems does a cloud cost optimization engagement solve?
It solves three common problems: “The cloud bill rises every month and nobody knows why”, “We pay for servers that sit idle at night”, and “We're unsure about Savings Plans and reservations”. Each one has a fix.
The problem
- “The cloud bill rises every month and nobody knows why”Spend is spread across accounts, projects and services, most of it has no owner, and nobody looks closely until finance asks.
- “We pay for servers that sit idle at night”Test environments run all weekend, instances were sized for a launch peak long past, and old snapshots and volumes keep piling up.
- “We're unsure about Savings Plans and reservations”Committing could save money, but nobody is sure what usage will look like next year, so everything stays on on-demand rates.
What changes
- Waste removed on your sign-offIdle and oversized resources are cleaned up, with each change logged and approved by your team.
- Spend every team can seeTagging and dashboards show each team, product and environment what it costs to run.
- Early warning on spikesBudgets and anomaly alerts flag unusual spend early, long before the invoice arrives.
- Savings that lastMonthly reviews and managed cloud catch new waste as your workloads grow.
Compare your options
Built-in cost tools, automated savings software or a FinOps partner?
Each option suits a different situation: built-in cost tools, self-run (small bill, engineer with time); automated savings software (large, steady usage to commit); and Noorscale (rising bill nobody can explain). Here's how they compare on the points buyers ask about most.

What's included
What does a cloud cost optimization engagement include?
A cloud cost optimization engagement includes six deliverables: FinOps review and baseline; rightsizing and cleanup; commitment plan; tagging and cost allocation; budgets, alerts and anomaly detection; and managed cloud and monthly reviews. Each one is working material your team can use, not a slide deck.
Scope · Cloud Cost Optimization & Managed Cloud6 deliverables
- 01
FinOps review and baseline
A line-by-line review of your bills and usage, a cost baseline by team and product, and a ranked list of savings with the effort and risk of each.
- 02
Rightsizing and cleanup
Oversized instances, databases and Kubernetes requests resized from real usage, and idle resources, old snapshots and unattached volumes removed on your sign-off.
- 03
Commitment plan
Savings Plans, reservations or committed use discounts bought only for steady usage, with coverage reviewed as your workloads change.
- 04
Tagging and cost allocation
A tagging policy enforced in code, so every resource has an owner, environment and product, and spend can be shown back to each team.
- 05
Budgets, alerts and anomaly detection
Budgets per account and team, alerts before limits are reached and anomaly detection for sudden spikes, sent to where your team works.
- 06
Managed cloud and monthly reviews
Ongoing monitoring, patching and backups, plus a monthly cost review that tracks savings against the baseline and catches new waste early.

You get: Agreed cost baseline by team and product
Step 02Weeks 1 to 3
Find the waste
Usage data reviewed resource by resource, with every possible saving ranked by value, effort and risk.
You get: Ranked savings list with effort and risk
Step 03Weeks 2 to 4
Quick wins
Idle resources removed, schedules set for non-production environments and safe rightsizing applied, all on your sign-off.
You get: Idle resources removed and schedules set
Step 04Weeks 3 to 6
Controls that stick
Tagging policy, budgets, alerts and commitment purchases put in place, with dashboards each team can read.
You get: Tagging policy, budgets, alerts and dashboards
Step 05Monthly
Manage and review
Managed cloud covering monitoring, patching and backups, plus a monthly review of spend, savings and new recommendations.
You get: Monthly cost review against the baseline
Reporting
How will you know a cloud cost optimization engagement is working?
You'll know a cloud cost optimization engagement is working from four measures on a live dashboard: spend against baseline, unit cost, commitment coverage and use and spend with an owner. You also get a written review every month: leading indicators first, then the numbers your finance team cares about.
Monthly reportSample
- Spend against baselineHigher is better
Monthly cloud cost compared with the agreed baseline, adjusted for growth in usage.
- Unit costLower is better
Cloud cost per customer, transaction or request, so spend is judged against the value it serves.
- Commitment coverage and useHigher is better
Share of steady usage covered by commitments, and how much of what you bought is actually used.
- Spend with an ownerHigher is better
Share of the bill tagged to a team, product or environment.

FAQ
Questions about Cloud Cost Optimization & Managed Cloud
Something else on your mind? Email grow@noorscale.com and a person will reply within one business day.
How much do cloud cost optimization services cost?
Cost depends on the size and number of accounts, how many clouds and Kubernetes clusters you run, and whether you want a one-off review or ongoing managed cloud. The review is a fixed-price project, and managed cloud runs on a monthly retainer. You get a written scope after a free call, and we'll say plainly if your bill is too small for a review to pay for itself.
How much can we save on our cloud bill?
Savings depend on your starting point, so we estimate them from your own usage data rather than quoting a percentage up front. Accounts that have never been reviewed usually have idle resources, oversized instances and steady usage without commitments to address. The review gives you a ranked list with an estimated saving for each item before you approve any change.
What is FinOps?
FinOps is a practice that brings engineering, finance and product teams together to manage cloud spend, so cost becomes part of everyday engineering decisions. The FinOps Foundation describes it in three phases: inform, optimize and operate. We set up the visibility, make the first savings and put the routines in place to keep them.
Will cutting costs affect performance?
Changes are based on weeks of real usage data, and each one is tested before it reaches production. Rightsizing leaves headroom for peaks, and anything that touches a production workload is scheduled with your team and can be reversed.
Should we buy Savings Plans or reserved instances?
Yes, for usage that's steady and expected to stay, since commitments cost less than on-demand rates. We size commitments to the baseline you'll keep using, after rightsizing, and leave spiky or uncertain workloads on demand or on spot capacity.
What access do you need?
Read-only access to billing and usage data is enough for the review. Changes such as rightsizing or cleanup use a role with limited permissions, applied through your change process or infrastructure as code, and every action is logged.
What do managed cloud services include?
Our managed cloud covers monitoring and alerting, patching, backup checks, security updates, small changes and a monthly cost and health review. Response times and the scope of support are agreed in writing, and everything stays in accounts you own.
Can you optimize Kubernetes costs too?
Yes, we review requests and limits, node sizes, autoscaling and idle namespaces with tools such as Kubecost or OpenCost, then allocate cluster cost to each team or service. Kubernetes is a common place for unused capacity to hide.
