Overview

What is a dedicated development team?

A dedicated development team is a group of engineers and specialists who work full time on one client's product, under that client's priorities, for an open-ended period. You direct the work, and the provider handles recruitment, retention and delivery management. Staff augmentation adds individuals to your existing team, while a dedicated team arrives as a working unit with its own lead and quality process. Noorscale runs senior pods of engineers, AI engineers, QA, a designer and a delivery lead, set up inside your tools with a written operating rhythm.

Sound familiar?

What problems does a dedicated team engagement solve?

It solves the three problems teams raise most often on a first call, and each one has a fix.

The problem

  • “Our roadmap is bigger than our team”Hiring senior engineers takes months, and the features customers asked for keep slipping another quarter.
  • “Freelancers and agencies keep rotating people”Every new face needs onboarding, context gets lost, and quality depends on whoever happened to be free that month.
  • “We want AI in the product but nobody here has shipped it”Your engineers know the core product well, but retrieval, evaluation and model costs are new ground, and learning by trial is slow.

What changes

  • Roadmap moving againFeatures that kept slipping get built by a senior pod working only on your priorities.
  • AI shipped inside your productAI engineers who've done it before build the features while your own engineers learn alongside them.
  • The same faces every sprintA stable pod keeps context, so less time goes on onboarding and more on delivery.
  • Capacity that flexes with plansAdd or reduce roles by agreement as priorities change, without a hiring cycle each time.

What's included

What does a dedicated team engagement include?

A dedicated team engagement includes six deliverables, each one working material your team can use, not a slide deck.

Process

How long does a dedicated team engagement take?

The work runs in five steps, starting in week 1. Every step ends with something you can use, so you always know what's landed and what comes next.

Time to first results: First sprint in 3 to 6 weeks

  1. Step 01Week 1

    Scope the roadmap and roles

We review your backlog, stack and goals, then agree the pod's roles, seniority and how success will be measured.

You get: Agreed pod roles, seniority and success measures

  2. Step 02Weeks 1 to 3

    Match and interview

You meet and interview the proposed people, and we agree the operating rhythm and overlap hours.

You get: Approved people and a written operating rhythm

  3. Step 03Weeks 3 to 6

Onboard and run the first sprint

Access, environments and a first sprint on real backlog items, with the delivery lead reporting progress weekly.

You get: First sprint delivered on real backlog items

  4. Step 04Ongoing

    Deliver and report

Sprints against your roadmap, a monthly scorecard and a review of what to change in the team or the process.

You get: Shipped sprints and a monthly scorecard

  5. Step 05By agreement

    Scale or reshape

Add or reduce roles on agreed notice, or change the mix of skills as the roadmap moves.

You get: Pod resized or reshaped on agreed notice

Reporting

How will you know a dedicated team engagement is working?

You'll see it in four numbers on a live dashboard, with a written review every month. Leading indicators come first, then the numbers your finance team cares about.

FAQ

Questions about Dedicated AI & Engineering Teams

Something else on your mind? Email grow@noorscale.com and a person will reply within one business day.

How much does a dedicated development team cost?

It's a monthly fee per pod, driven by the number of roles, their seniority and any specialist skills, such as AI engineering. Tools and cloud costs stay in your accounts, so you pay for them directly. Changing the pod's size changes the fee on the notice period agreed in the contract. You get a written quote after a free call.

How is a dedicated team different from staff augmentation?

Staff augmentation adds individual people to your team, and you manage them day to day. A dedicated team arrives as a working pod with its own delivery lead, QA and review process, and it's accountable for delivery against your roadmap. Many clients use both: a dedicated pod for a product area and one or two augmented specialists elsewhere.

How quickly can a dedicated pod start?

Usually 3 to 6 weeks from agreed roles to a first sprint. Timing depends on the skills you need, how many interview rounds you want and how quickly your access and security onboarding clears.

Can we interview the people on the pod?

Yes, you meet and approve everyone before they join. You can also ask to replace someone later, and we handle the change with a proper handover.

Can we scale the team up or down?

Yes, by agreement and on the notice period set in the contract. Roles can be added, swapped or reduced at each monthly review as your roadmap changes.

Will the team's working hours overlap with ours?

Yes, overlap hours are agreed in the operating rhythm before the first sprint. Daily standups, reviews and urgent issues fall inside that window, and the rest of the day goes to focused build time.

Who owns the code and IP?

You do. The team works in your repositories and accounts, IP assignment is in the contract and everyone follows your security and confidentiality rules.
