Overview
What is conversion tracking setup?
Conversion tracking setup is the technical work that records which visits, calls, forms and purchases come from each marketing channel and passes those conversions to your analytics and ad platforms. It matters because ad platforms bid toward whatever you tell them is a conversion: feed them duplicates or junk and they'll find you more of it. We build it with GA4 and Google Tag Manager, server-side tagging, Meta's Conversions API, Google Ads enhanced conversions, consent mode and offline conversion imports from your CRM.

What problems does a conversion tracking setup solve?
It solves the three problems teams raise most often on a first call, and each one has a fix.
The problem
- “Google Ads and GA4 report different conversion numbers”Attribution rules explain some of the gap, but duplicate tags, broken triggers and missing consent signals often explain the rest. Smart Bidding then optimizes toward the wrong number.
- “Ad platforms can't see which leads became customers”Form fills count as wins even when sales disqualifies them. Without CRM imports, Google and Meta keep finding you more of the wrong leads.
- “We're not sure our tracking respects consent”Banners that don't actually block tags, missing consent mode signals or patient data leaking into pixels create legal risk and data gaps at the same time.
What changes
- Bidding that learns from revenueQualified leads and sales flow back to Google and Meta, so their algorithms chase customers instead of cheap form fills, which brings cost per qualified lead down.
- Numbers finance will sign off onEvery platform's count is reconciled to the CRM and each difference explained, so marketing and finance stop arguing about which figure is right.
- Lost signal recovered, consent respectedServer-side tagging and first-party data recover events that browsers drop, within the choices your visitors have made.
- Tracking that survives the next changeA documented measurement plan and QA checklist mean site updates, new campaigns and new hires don't quietly break your data.

What's included
What does a conversion tracking setup include?
A conversion tracking setup includes six deliverables, each one working material your team can use, not a slide deck.
Scope · Analytics & Conversion Tracking6 deliverables
- 01
Measurement plan
A documented list of every conversion that matters, how it's defined, where it fires and which platforms receive it, agreed before any tag ships.
- 02
GA4 and Tag Manager rebuild
A clean GA4 property and Tag Manager container with named events, key events, cross-domain tracking and a QA checklist, replacing inherited tag clutter.
- 03
Server-side tagging container
A server-side Tag Manager container on your own subdomain, hosted on Google Cloud or Stape, forwarding events to GA4 and your ad platforms.
- 04
Meta CAPI and enhanced conversions
Meta Conversions API and Google Ads enhanced conversions with hashed first-party data and event deduplication, so platforms can match more conversions to ads.
- 05
Consent mode setup
Your consent platform wired to Google consent mode, so tags follow each visitor's choices and your setup meets the consent rules that apply to your audience.
- 06
CRM offline conversion imports
Qualified leads, booked appointments and closed deals sent back from HubSpot, Salesforce or GoHighLevel to Google Ads and Meta for value-based bidding.

Process
How long does a conversion tracking setup take?
The work runs in four steps, starting in week 1 and finishing in weeks 5–6. Every step ends with something you can use, so you always know what's landed and what comes next.
Time to first results: Clean data in 3–6 weeks
Step 01Week 1
Tracking audit
We test every tag, event and conversion across GA4, the ad platforms and your CRM, and document what's broken, duplicated or missing.
You get: Audit of broken, duplicated and missing tracking
Step 02Week 2
Measurement plan
We agree the conversions that matter, their values and the consent rules, so engineering and marketing work from one spec.
You get: Agreed measurement plan for every conversion
Step 03Weeks 3–5
Build and QA
We rebuild client-side and server-side tracking, connect CAPI, enhanced conversions and CRM imports, then QA every event in preview and live.
You get: Tracking rebuilt and every event tested
Step 04Weeks 5–6
Validate and hand over
We compare platform numbers side by side, fix discrepancies and hand over documentation your team or next agency can maintain.
You get: Reconciled numbers and handover documentation
Reporting
How will you know a conversion tracking setup is working?
You'll see it in four numbers on a live dashboard, with a written review every month. Leading indicators come first, then the numbers your finance team cares about.

FAQ
Questions about Analytics & Conversion Tracking
Something else on your mind? Email grow@noorscale.com and a person will reply within one business day.
How much does conversion tracking setup cost?
It's a fixed-price project, scoped by the number of sites, platforms and CRM connections involved, and quoted after a free call. Server-side tagging, multiple domains and healthcare compliance work add scope. Server-side hosting is billed separately by Google Cloud or Stape, based on your traffic.
How long does a tracking rebuild take?
A typical rebuild takes four to six weeks from audit to handover, including a validation period where we compare platform numbers side by side. Setups with several domains, a custom CRM or healthcare compliance reviews can take longer.
Why don't Google Ads and GA4 show the same conversions?
Partly by design: they use different attribution models, lookback windows and counting rules, so some gap is normal. The rest usually comes from duplicate tags, broken triggers or missing consent signals. We document which differences are expected and fix the ones that aren't.
Is server-side tracking better than client-side tracking?
Yes, for most advertisers, though it works alongside client-side tags rather than replacing them. Server-side tagging gives you control over what data leaves your site, reduces losses from browser restrictions and feeds Meta's Conversions API and Google's enhanced conversions. It still has to respect consent.
Do we need consent mode?
Yes, if you run Google Ads to audiences covered by consent laws, because Google uses consent signals to decide how it may use their data for measurement and personalization. Even where it isn't required, it's the cleanest way to make tags follow visitors' choices. We set it up with your consent platform so tags behave correctly for every visitor.
Can healthcare websites use Meta and Google ad tracking?
Yes, but only with HIPAA-aware rules. Tracking pixels can disclose protected health information, so we keep it out of browser pixels, never send conditions or appointment details to ad platforms, and route data through vendors willing to sign a BAA. Tools built for this layer, such as Freshpaint, sit between your site and the ad platforms.
Can you track phone calls and offline sales?
Yes, both. Call tracking captures calls from ads and organic search, and CRM imports send booked appointments and closed deals back to Google Ads and Meta with their value. That closes the loop for businesses where the real conversion happens on the phone or in a sales meeting.
What is Meta Event Match Quality, and why does it matter?
Event Match Quality is Meta's score for how well the customer details sent with your server events match Meta accounts. Better matching helps Meta attribute conversions to ads and optimize delivery. We improve it by sending hashed first-party data, such as email and phone, through the Conversions API with visitor consent.
Will our team be able to maintain the setup?
Yes, that's the point of the handover. You get a measurement plan, a clearly named and documented Tag Manager container, a QA checklist and a recorded walkthrough. Any competent analyst or agency can pick it up, and optional monthly monitoring is there if you'd rather not.
